Sunshine of the Day!
So, over the weekend I spent some time thinking about my blog and how a lot of my posts tend to be depressing or negative. This makes me feel sad because there are so many wonderful things that happen to me on a daily basis. Yet, somehow they fail to make my blog.
Every night before I fall asleep I force myself (even on the worst of days) to come up with one thing from that day that made me smile. Since I feel that my blog could use some sunshine, I have decided to record those little things each night (or more realistically, on the nights that I remember….) in a post. Therefore, here is my Sunshine of the Day!
*I volunteer at a hotline that takes suicide calls. Today I talked to a depressed suicidal caller who told me that talking to me made him see that he wants to make it to tomorrow. Today I made someone’s day. However, the idea that is even better than that, the true sunshine, is the idea that there will be another day to better for him tomorrow.*
